FEATURING JUAN ESCALANTE – Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced during a visit to Arizona on Monday that the US was officially adopting a policy to separate undocumented families from their children after they crossed the US border. He used language indicating that parents bringing children will be considered human traffickers, saying, “If you’re smuggling a child, then we’re going to prosecute you, and that child will be separated from you. If you don’t want your child separated, then don’t bring them across the border illegally.”
Human rights groups have slammed the policy which was already being unofficially being implements. The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed that so far about 700 undocumented immigrants have been separated from their children.
